Electrical Design Engineer - Nuclear / Modifications / Fire Protection Upgrades - Randstad in Florence, South Carolina For Sale
A Fortune 500 energy company is currently seeking a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer to support the development of modifications associated with the Robinson Unit 1 demolition and NFPA 805 Fire Protection Upgrades at Robinson Nuclear Plant in Hartsville, SC. This is a 6 month CONTRACT position, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates preferred, but per diem will be available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities for the Electrical Design Engineer
Generate modification packages in accordance with client's procedures
Prepare scopes of work, design input records, installation instruction, testing requirements, configuration management updates, turnover and modification closeout activities
Requirements for the Electrical Design Engineer
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering
10+ years experience as an electrical design / modification engineer
5+ years design engineering experience at an operating commercial nuclear facility preparing plant modifications, calculations, and associated documents
Experience associated with design of power plant electrical distribution and low voltage systems is desired
Knowledge of nuclear plant design change process, configuration management tools, and scheduling process is required
Qualify as a Responsible Electrical Design Engineer for the purposes of preparing modifications and associated documents in accordance with applicable station procedures and requirements
