Role Summary/Purpose: The EHS Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining the business strategy for EHS programs
This is a 550,000 SqFt, stand:alone manufacturing facility with nearly 400 employees.
Provide EHS guidance and compliance support to site management team to ensure compliance with regulatory and GE
program requirements
Essential Responsibilities:
: Partner with other EHS staff to ensure compliance: identify, prevent and resolve potential issues, and to mitigate EHS liabilities associated with plant operations and facilities.
: Evaluate facility EHS conditions, assess risks and develop appropriate corrective:action plans and budgets to address
deficiencies in comparison to regulations and GE internal policy/protocol
: Keep management apprised of progress and significant developments on key projects
: Assist site management in executing GE Healthcare Environmental, Health and Safety priorities, metrics, goals and requirements
: Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance and programs
: Ensure robust process for VPP/ Environmental excellence certifications and recognition
: Scope and Manage Local EHS Projects, Develop and Manage Ongoing and Project Budgets
: Support efforts to analyze and communicate performance against expectations, provide feedback, establish and track required
actions to improve performance
: Conduct data mining to identify trends and develop corrective and preventative actions
: Assist in responding to significant incidents and government requests/notices
: Interface with environmental, health and safety regulatory agencies as needed
: Provide leadership, support and training to build technical, management and leadership skills of site leadership team in EHS
